1. Initial Assessment
- All new clients are required to undergo an initial assessment before participating in any pack walks, classes, or training services. This assessment allows us to evaluate your dog’s behaviour, discuss training goals, and determine suitability for group environments.
- The initial assessment is a two-hour session and is charged at £100 plus travel expenses at £1.00 per mile from our base in Sutton in Ashfield.
- The assessment fee must be paid in advance to secure your booking.
2. Training Services
- After the initial assessment, a personalised training plan will be recommended, based on your dog's specific needs and behaviour. This may include one-on-one sessions, group classes, or pack walks.
- Training methods used incorporate a range of techniques tailored to each dog's needs, focusing on effective, humane approaches. Clients are expected to follow the training advice and practices provided during sessions to ensure the best possible results.
- We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services if we feel the environment is unsuitable for the dog, or if the dog’s behaviour presents a safety risk to other participants, dogs, or the trainer.
3. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Cancellations: Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation fee of £30.
- Rescheduling: Should you need to reschedule an appointment, a fee of £15 will apply.
- In the case of extreme weather conditions, illness, or emergencies, we will work with you to reschedule without additional fees.
4. Payment and Fees
- Payment for the initial assessment is required upfront at the time of booking.
- For ongoing training sessions, payment must be made in full either before or on the day of the session.
- We accept cash, bank transfer, and other agreed-upon methods.
- If additional travel is required beyond the initial assessment, a mileage fee of £1.00 per mile will apply to all future visits.
5. Pack Walks and Group Classes
- Participation in group classes or pack walks is dependent on the initial assessment to ensure your dog is comfortable and suitable for these environments.
- Dogs must be on lead at all times during pack walks unless specifically instructed otherwise by the trainer.
- Owners are responsible for their dog’s behaviour and must ensure that their dog is up-to-date on vaccinations before attending any group activities.
- In the interest of safety, aggressive or overly reactive dogs may be asked to leave group activities until further individual training has been conducted.
6. Health and Safety
- All dogs must be up-to-date with vaccinations, including any required boosters, and free from any contagious diseases, parasites, or fleas. Proof of vaccination may be requested prior to participation.
- Owners are required to inform us of any health issues, allergies, or injuries their dog may have before the commencement of any training.
- Dogaholics is not liable for any injury or illness sustained by the dog during training sessions, unless caused by negligence.
7. Owner Responsibility
- Owners are expected to actively participate in training sessions and practice exercises between sessions to ensure the best outcomes.
- It is the owner’s responsibility to follow the training instructions provided and maintain consistency in training.
- The success of any training is dependent on the owner’s commitment and the dog’s responsiveness, and we cannot guarantee specific results.
8. Liability
- Dogaholics takes every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of both dogs and owners during training sessions. However, participation in any training or group activity is at the owner's own risk.
- We will not be held responsible for any loss, damage, or injury to persons, dogs, or property caused by your dog during training or any other related activities.
9. Photography and Media
- During training sessions, we may take photos or videos of your dog for training purposes, social media posts, or promotional content. If you prefer that your dog’s image not be featured on our social media or marketing materials, please inform us in writing, and we will respect your wishes.
10. Changes to Terms and Conditions
- Dogaholics reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to clients, and continued use of our services will imply acceptance of any revised terms.
